This is the tone circuit as best as I can remember, I think it's right on the money. By the late 70's I had abandoned it's use and left the switches set in the stock tone setting. This was because the wave shaping and filtering capabilities of pedals and equipment had advanced far enough to make this circuit unnecessary.

Back in the early 70's no one used effects pedals to any good use unless you were some left handed black guy with a wah-wah. Everything depended on the instrument and amplifier alone. Even Jimi had a sparse "rig", a few things but nothing like you see today. Circuits like this were relied upon at the time for systems matching, as was bizzare things you would do to your speakers and amp.
